Exile's first Autumn launch & readings event
Last week I went to Exile's first Autumn launch & readings event at Dora Keogh Irish pub on Danforth.
The readings of Exile’s new authors, Antony Di Nardo, Marianne Apostolides and Greg Kearney were all great; they were already great performers and did their readings with dignity and humor.
The literature legend, Katherine Govier was also there for her reading. She showed me her own copy of her latest novel, the Ghost Brush, in which many marks, even changes, were added, for her own use, to make her reading better. Even the greatest writer like Katherine still continues to improve her own work. I’m so impressed. Yes, writing is all about re-writing, never ending…

Canadian Voices, Volume Two - Book launch!
TIFF
Asian Film Industry Network Reception on Monday, September 13 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Japan Foundation, Toronto. It was nice to see Trần Anh Hùng, the director of Norwegian Wood. He is such a modest, shy person.
